Iraq Kurdish Oil Exports Sliding To 75,000 B/D On Payment Delay

Iraq's crude oil exports from the northern Kurdistan region have dropped to 75,000 barrels a day from the 175,000 barrels a day originally agreed between the central government in Baghdad and the Kurdistan Regional Government, or KRG, on payment issues, Iraqi and Kurdish officials said Monday.

IENE has just published a new study on the role and the importance of electricity interconnections as part of Greece’s overall energy strategy. This new IENE study, entitled “Strategic Study of Electricity Interconnections in SE Europe and Greece’s Crucial Role”, was assigned to the Institute by Greece’s Regulatory Energy Authority (RAE). The study, which at present is available only in Greek, can be found through www.iene.gr . The study’s English version will be available early next year

Iraqi Budget Approved Using $85/bl Oil Price

Iraq's 117 trillion dinar ($100bn) budget for 2012 has passed into law after being endorsed by parliament following months of squabbling.The budget is based on an oil price of $85/bl for Iraqi crude and assumes exports of 2.6mn b/d, including 175,000 b/d from the semi-autonomous northern Kurdish enclave run the by the Kurdistan Regional Government, according to Iraqi government news agency Nina.
