More homeowners in Kosovo will be able to improve the energy efficiency of their households thanks to a new €2 million credit line extended by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to the Agency for Finance in Kosovo (AFK), the EBRD said on June 28.

“Kosovo is one of the most energy-intensive countries in Europe,” EBRD Kosovo head Neil Taylor said. “We are pleased to expand the GEFF programme here to help households improve their energy efficiency and reduce their bills. The facility will also support local jobs and boost the green recovery. Together with our partners the EU, Austria and WBIF we will continue to improve energy efficiency in the residential sector to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions,” he added.
