For sure, not presumably, there will be a “day after”. Humanity is far from the point of disappearing, no matter how hard society tries to terminate it. The virus infection is implementing its first circle, many countries have managed to minimise their losses, some have suffered more, new drugs coming closer and closer to cure the disease are being discovered and the preparation of a vaccine is a matter of months.

At the beginning of the crisis, it was irrelevant if the virus was an accident of nature or a biological weapon made in the laboratories of Fort Detrick, Maryland or the secret Wuhan China Biological Warfare facilities. The issue was how to contain the virus. Now that we have seemingly contained the situation and we are about to enter “the day after”, it matters.

Perceptions and speculations on the matter will define the new geostrategic alliances of the post-virus period.

The United States is the country that has been hurt the worst by the pandemic and because of this is Washington is directly blaming China. The virus either appeared in Wuhan, and the Chinese, with the help of the World Health Organization, hid the information for three months to diffuse their direct culpability.
