OAO Novatek (NVTK.RS), Russia's No. 2 natural gas producer, increased output 8.5% to 62.2 billion cubic meters in 2013, the company said Friday.
OAO Novatek (NVTK.RS), Russia 's No. 2 natural gas producer, increased output 8.5% to 62.2 billion cubic meters in 2013, the company said Friday.

It said output rose 7.3% to 16.4 billion cubic meters in the last three months of the year from a year ago.

Novatek has increased sales to Russian consumers in recent years at the expense of state-controlled giant OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS).

The company said it also increased production of crude oil and gas condensate last year by 11.4% to 4.77 million metric tons.
