Bulgaria's governmentappointed on Wednesday the chief executive officer of the state-owned Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH), Boyan Boev, as head of the country's energy regulator.
Boev will replace Anzhela Toneva, who has resigned, the government said in a press release.
Toneva's resignation comes at a time when the government is considering options to cut electricity prices and only a few days afterparliament adopted a controversial proposal to impose a 20% charge on revenues from wind and solar power generation as of January 1.
This is the latest of a series of reshuffles of the energy regulator's management since the beginning of the year. Toneva was appointedSEWRC head in June.
