Yamal LNG Holds Talks With Five European Companies To Sell 50% Of Its LNG

Yamal LNG, Novatek (NVTK.RS), Russia's largest independent natural gas producer's joint venture with France's Total S.A. (TOT), is in talks with five European companies to sell half of its volumes of liquefied natural gas, or LNG, Christoph Thomas, Total's LNG expert in Russia, said on the sidelines of the conference "Shelf of Russia - 2013," Interfax reported Wednesday.
Yamal LNG, Novatek (NVTK.RS), Russia's largest independent natural gas producer's joint venture with France's Total S.A. (TOT), is in talks with five European companies to sell half of its volumes of liquefied natural gas, or LNG, Christoph Thomas, Total's LNG expert in Russia, said on the sidelines of the conference "Shelf of Russia - 2013," Interfax reported Wednesday.

Half of the volume will be delivered to the European market, including Spain and France, the other half to Asia , to countries that include China , Japan and South Korea , he said.

He didn't specify the timeframe of the agreements, saying that "the timeframe in question should allow to launch the project."
