Electricity generated by Japan's 10 regional power utilities fell 1.4% on year in July to 81.78 billion kilowatt-hours as temperatures during the month trended a little lower than the previous year, resulting in lower demand for air conditioning, the Federation of Electric Power Companies said Monday.
