Azerbaijan's state-run oil company Socar appointed Zaur Gahramanov as
 the company's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Turkey, the company 
announced on Monday.
Gahramanov served as the deputy general 
manager in Socar's investment department in Azerbaijani capital Baku and
 has worked for the company over the last eight years.
Socar 
thanked Kenan Yavuz, the outgoing CEO, for his services and added that 
he will continue to be a member of the board of directors in the 
company.
Gahramanov began his career in the financial sector. He 
moved on to Norwegian Statoil where he held various roles in auditing 
and performance analysis, and later on joined Socar Trading Geneva as 
the company's Chief Financial Officer.
