German utility RWA AG (RWE.XE) said Tuesday it has discovered an estimated 4 billion to 13 billion cubic metres of gas in the Norwegian Sea . MAIN FACTS: -RWE unit RWE Dea has found the gas on its Zidane field. -RWE Dea Norge AS has a 40% stake in the production licence and is the operator, with Edison International (EIX), Maersk Oil Norway AS, and OMV AG (OMV.VI) each owning 20%. -"By developing Zidane, we will get our first own-operated Norwegian field on stream, and we have high ambitions in both exploration and production for the years to come," said RWE Dea Chief Operating Officer Ralf to Baben.
