China Petroleum & Chemical Corp. (SNP), also known as Sinopec, produced 0.4% more crude oil and 16.8% more natural gas in 2011 compared with 2010, it said in an in-house newsletter published Friday.

Last year, Sinopec discovered 29% more crude reserves and 81.4% more natural
gas reserves than in 2010, the newsletter said, citing Sinopec General Manager
Wang Tianpu.
Sinopec's refinery rates and output of refined oil products rose 2.7% in 2011,
he said, without providing the volumes.
The Chinese refiner also produced more than 10 million metric tons of ethylene
in 2011, up 9.1% from 2010, the newsletter cited Wang as saying.
