Russia's biggest independent natural gas producer, OAO Novatek (NVTK.RS), Friday said French energy company Total SA (TOT) paid $425 million for a 20% stake in the Yamal liquefied natural gas project in northern Russia.
Russia's biggest independent natural gas producer, OAO Novatek (NVTK.RS), Friday said French energy company Total SA (TOT) paid $425 million for a 20% stake in the Yamal liquefied natural gas project in northern Russia.

"Total consideration for the 20% stake includes a cash payment of $425 million, as well as financing for the project through additional contributions," Novatek said in its third-quarter results.
