Renewable energy developer Continental Wind Partners (CWP) Global plans to build a 450 MW wind farm in Serbia’s northern municipalities of Srbobran and Becej, the local authorities said

The Vetrogon wind farm will comprise between 55 and 75 wind turbines, each with a minimum capacity of 5 MW, according to project documentation posted on the Vojvodina autonomous province website on Monday.

The wind farm will span a total of 457 square kilometres.

Approached by SeeNews for further information about the planned investment volume, a municipal official declined to comment. A SeeNews email to CWP Global went unanswered by the time this article was published.

Founded in 2007, CWP became the most successful developer in Southeast Europe delivering some of the largest projects and the largest onshore wind farms in Europe. The company has developed the 156-megawatt Cibuk wind farm in Serbia and the 600-megawatt Fantanele-Cogealac wind power project in Romania.
