Of the new stations, 180 are located in Italy and 20 in Austria.
Each 50-kilowatt capacity station will be able to fully charge two vehicles simultaneously taking about 30 minutes.
The fast charging stations are part of an extensive network in Italy and Austria that "allows drivers to travel from Sicily to Austria in their electric cars with only short stops and no fear of running out of power," Enel said.
The stations were installed as part of the Electric Vehicles Arteries program, the European project for the development of electric mobility launched in 2016.
