Gazprom said that demand for natural gas from the national gas transmission system in the domestic market was down by 1.7% or by 2.3 bcm. According to preliminary data, Gazprom's gas deliveries to Europe amounted to 102.8 bcm, down by 5.6% compared to the same period in 2018.
The company also said the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline construction is continuing with 1,628 km of pipes laid to date, of which 66.3% has been laid in the Baltic Sea. The Nord Stream 2 project plans to have a 55 billion cubic meter capacity, which will continue from Russia to Germany across the Baltic Sea.
