The Ministry officially announced in the Turkish Official Gazette the tender bidding conditions with an application deadline set for March 7, 2019.
According to the announcement, Turkey is to hold four 250-megawatt YEKA wind energy tenders for plants to be located in western Balikesir, Canakkale, Aydin and Mugla.
Turkey's Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Donmez announced in July that Turkey would hold annual wind and solar tenders each offering 1,000 megawatts of capacity.

Applicants will submit their bid to the Turkish General Directorate of Energy Affairs in Ankara by midday on March 7, 2019.
In the tender, the 1,000 megawatts offered will be held in a reverse auction. The tender winner will be able to sell electricity for 15 years with a purchase agreement that will be effective from the date the YEKA Tenure Contract is signed.
The tender for the first YEKA project of 1,000 megawatts was held in August 2017 and generated an investment volume of $1 billion. The winning price per kilowatt-hour was $0.348 with total capacity for installment in Sivas, Edirne, Kirklareli and Eskisehir.
