Turkeys LPG Imports Fall 5.1% Year on Year in July

Turkey's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports decreased by nearly 5.1 percent to 287 thousand tons in July compared to the same month last year, according to the latest data revealed by the country's energy watchdog

The Energy Market Regulatory Authority's (EPDK) data showed that imports to Turkey came from several countries including Algeria, Norway, the U.S., Kazakhstan, Russia, Libya the United Kingdom, Malta and Santa Kitts & Nevis and Ukraine. Turkey's LPG production increased in July to approximately 98 thousand tons - a jump of almost 23.9 percent on a yearly basis.

Exports saw a slump over the same period by nearly 55.3 percent to 6.6 thousand tons compared to July 2017. Among the countries that imported the highest LPG volumes from Turkey were Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Egypt, Syria and Turkey's free trade zones. Total sales of LPG hit approximately 392 thousand tons in July, including 315 thousand tons of autogas, 66 thousand tons of bottled LPG and 11 thousand tons of bulk LPG.
