Turkeys LPG Imports Increase in March 2018

Turkey's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports increased by 13 percent to 273 thousand tons in March 2018 compared to March 2017, according to a report by Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) released on Wednesday

Imports to Turkey came from several different countries including Algeria, Norway, the U.S., Russia, Kazakhstan, Libya and Ukraine.

Turkey's LPG production decreased by 29 percent to 73 thousand tons in March 2018 compared to the same month of 2017.

In addition, the country's LPG exports decreased by 40 percent to 25 thousand tons in March. Among the countries that imported the highest LPG volumes from Turkey were Switzerland, Egypt, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Greece and Turkey's free trade zones.

Total sales of LPG hit 330 thousand tons, including 256 thousand tons of autogas, 64 thousand tons of bottled LPG and 10 thousand tons of bulk LPG.
