Croatian diversified holding company Djuro
Djakovic said on Thursday it will sign as part of a consortium
with Dutch partner HoSt two deals with Zagreb-based state-owned energy utility
HEP totaling 35.2 million euro ($37.8 million).
On April 10, the
consortium will sign a 16.25 million euro deal for the construction in the
eastern town of Osijek of a cogeneration biomass-fired power plant with 2 MWe
electrical power capacity and 10 MWt thermal energy capacity, Djuro Djakovic
said in a filing to the Zagreb bourse.
Next week, Djuro Djakovic and its
partner will also sign a 18.95 million euro deal with HEP for the construction
in the central town of Sisak of a cogeneration biomass-fired power plant with
the same technical specs.
The timeframe for the completion of the works
is 24 months after the signing of the contract.
Enschede-based HoSt
supplies anaerobic digesters for the agricultural and industrial manufacturing
sectors, wood-fired boilers and combined heat and power plants and fluidized-bed
gasifiers.
The main lines of business of the Djuro Djakovic conglomerate
are the manufacturing of equipment for steelworks, industrial and power plants
and the production of rolling stock and special-purpose motor
vehicles.
HEP group owns and operates over 4,000 MW of installed
generation capacity and 974 MW of heat production capacity, including 25
hydroelectric plants and eight thermal power plants fired by oil, natural gas or
coal.
