Iraq
 can
realistically target crude production of 6 million to 7 million barrels a day,
a senior Royal Dutch Shell PLC (RDSB) executive said Thursday.

Iraq "has acknowledged" that its post-war output target of 11 million
barrels a day by 2020 is too ambitious, said Ruth Cairnie, Shell executive vice
president for strategy and planning.

However, the country--which the International Energy Agency says has steadily
been improving production by 250,000 barrels a day since August--can
realistically grow output from current levels of around 2.68 million barrels a
day to between 6 million and 7 million barrels a day.
