Greek electricity producer Public Power Corp confirmed its interest for a lignite mine in Kosovo.
According to the terms of the tender, non-binding bids should be submitted by Oct 31.
The lignite mine called Sibovc SW is one of the best in Kosovo and its capacity is estimated at 1 billion lignite tones.
The whole investment is seen reaching EUR800 million, based on preliminary studies.
Currently, Kosovo faces significant energy shortages given the lack of maintenance of the whole network.
