Russian shareholders in TNK-BP (TNBP.RS) may seek hundreds of millions of U.K. pounds sterling in damage from the company's Chief Executive Robert Dudley, who they accuse of breaching his duties, the Daily Telegraph said Thursday citing a letter sent from the Russian shareholders to Dudley.

Turkey and Russia plan to boost ties

Turkey wants to boost cooperation with its top gas supplier Russia, ending a frosty period marked by differences over the Nabucco pipeline to Europe, an official and analysts said. Turkey gets most of its gas – 68 percent of 2008 demand of 38 billion cubic meters (bcm) – from Russia’s Gazprom under three long-term deals.

Turkey allowed Iraq to restart around a fifth of its oil exports yesterday after halting the flow for a day pending the payment of a $100 million debt. Iraq pumps around 430,000 barrels per day (bpd) of its nearly 2 million bpd of oil exports through its northern pipeline to Turkey's Mediterranean port of Ceyhan.

Russia’s Stroytransgaz has won a $418 million contract to build a gas pipeline across the United Arab Emirates, the UAE’s Dolphin Energy said in a statement yesterday. Stroytransgaz beat Italy’s oilfield services company Saipem and Greece’s Consolidated Contractors International Company to the contract.
