MRPL: Unable to Use Iran-Flagged Vessels to Ship Crude to India Due to Sanctions

Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd. said Friday that it expects to use Indian-flagged vessels to import crude oil from Iran because it is unable to use Iranian ships due to sanctions imposed by the U.S. and the European Union. MRPL managed to import just one cargo of crude oil from Iran in July against its entitlement of four, Managing Director P. P. Upadhya said at a news conference. 'High Chance' S Korea to Resume Iran Oil Imports Soon

There's a "high chance" that South Korea will resume importing Iranian crude oil in the near future, Minister of Knowledge Economy Hong Sukwoo said Thursday.
