BP PLC (BP) Wednesday broke off talks with its Russian billionaire
partners in TNK-BP, on the eve of a deadline to complete a $16 billion share
swap with Rosneft (ROSN.RS), the Financial Times reports on its website.
Citing "people close to the discussions," the report says BP ended
talks with Afa-Access-Renova because of "unrealistic" demands for a
buyout of their 50% stake in the TNK-BP joint venture.
A BP spokeswoman declined to comment on the report when contacted by Dow Jones
Newswires and said any relevant news would be announced by the company.
