Romania's sole nuclear power plant, operated by state-owned company Nuclearelectrica, Monday restarted reactor 1, which was shut down last week for a planned 48-hour maintenance period, news agency Mediafax reported.

The reactor was disconnected from the grid on Friday.
The plant operates two reactors, providing some 20% of country's electricity
output.
