Azerbaijan produced 42.925 million metric tons of crude oil from January to October, up 1.6% from the same period last year, Azerbaijan's state statistics agency said Friday.

The statistics agency didn't say how much the BP PLC (BP)-led consortium that operates Azerbaijan 's Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block in the Caspian Sea produced in January through October.

Azerbaijan 's gas output over the 10 months increased 14.4% on the year to 22.199 billion cubic meters.

Last year, Azerbaijan produced 44.5 million tons of crude oil, or 893,658 barrels a day. Azeri officials forecast 2010 crude production at between 46 million and 47 million tons.
