French nuclear engineering and mining group Areva (CEI.FR) Wednesday said it signed a joint venture with Kazakhstan's Kazatomprom to build a fuel manufacturing business in the Asian country.

said it signed a joint venture with

Kazatomprom to build a fuel manufacturing business in the Asian country.
Areva will own 51% of the joint venture and Kazatomprom will own the remainder.
The new plant will have a capacity of 400 tons a year and will start operations
in 2014.
