French oil major Total SA (TOT) Thursday said that 50% to 80% of its French refineries' employees had joined a nation-wide strike against the government's pension reform but that there was "no significant impact" on the refineries' output.

Earlier, union Confederation Generale du Travail said that employees at Total's French operations, six refineries as well as chemical and petrochemical plants, were on strike.
