Russia has drafted an application to the United Nations to extend the borders of its Arctic continental shelf, Russian news agency RIA Novosti reports on its Web site Tuesday.
Russia has drafted an application to the United Nations to extend the borders of its Arctic continental shelf, Russian news agency RIA Novosti reports on its Web site Tuesday.

The draft suggests the extension of the shelf in the Sea of Okhotsk beyond the 200 nautical miles (370 kilometers) stipulated under international law.
