Russian energy giant Gazprom
OAO (GAZP.RS) is interested in buying a 20% stake of Spanish oil company
Repsol-YPF (REP), Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov said
Wednesday, the Efe newswire reports.
Spanish construction company Sacyr-Vallehermoso (SYV.MC) recently said it is
considering selling its 20% stake in Repsol.
Zhukov spoke after meeting Spain's
Industry Minister Miguel Sebastian, Efe said.
Gazprom and Sacyr-Vallehermoso declined to comment, while Repsol
had no immediate comment.
Repsol's shares rose 3.4% to EUR14.70 at 1453 GMT, while Sacyr's shares
increased 8.4% to EUR7.77
