Russian oil major OAO Lukoil Holdings (LKOH.RS) is planning to invest $1 billion in oil and gas production in the northern part of the Caspian Sea, Prime-Tass reported Wednesday, quoting the company's chief executive.
The agency didn't say over what period the investment will be made. Lukoil wasn't available for immediate comment.
