One-hundred-and-two German utilities will raise natural gas prices by up to 17% as of June 1 and July 1, German newspaper Bild reports Tuesday.
As a result a German four-person household with an annual consumption of 20,000 kilowatt-hours will pay EUR1,500 per year, the newspaper says, adding this would correspond to an increase of 16.9%.
Over the weekend, several German papers and magazines reported that E.ON AG (EOA.XE) will raise wholesale gas prices up to 25%.
