Robert Dudley, chief executive of BP PLC's (BP) Russian joint venture TNK-BP (TNBP.RS), may soon be replaced by Viktor Vekselberg, one of three Russian shareholders, the Kommersant daily says Tuesday, citing a source close to TNK-BP.

Earlier this month, Vekselberg and Mikhail Fridman - two of the three Russian billionaires who control 50% of TNK-BP - complained about Dudley at a meeting with BP's CEO Tony Hayward, the paper said.

They proposed that Vekselberg should replace Dudley, a suggestion that was turned down by Hayward.

Dudley said Monday in an interview that the company's shareholders disagree over investments and the sale of some assets in Russia.
