PARIS (Dow Jones)--Worker representatives of Franco-Belgian utility Suez (SZE.FR) rejected the planned merger with Gaz de France (1020848.FR), as Suez's European works' council filed a negative opinion on Monday, French daily Le Figaro reported on Tuesday.
GdF has yet to complete its own consultative process. The consultations are non-binding, but must be filed for the merger to go ahead. The companies expect to merge in the first half of 2008.
